How does a digital mailbox work?

1. Sign up for a digital mailbox with us (here)

2. Set up a redirection with Australia Post to your unique digital mailbox (here)

3. We’ll confirm once mail starts arriving and start your digital mailbox from that day and open all your mail and email it to you.

4. We’ll hold your mail in a file until you return to collect it, or we can destroy pieces as requested, or even forward them to you for an additional cost

 

Who can use a Digital Mailbox?

A Digital Mailbox is suitable for people who don’t want to change their mailing address while away for longer periods than normal and those who don’t want their mail going unanswered while away.  This service is suitable for business and personal use

What about parcels?

We will hold parcels for you for 14 days.  In this time you can arrange to have someone collect it on your behalf, or we can forward it for you for an additional cost.  Parcels held over 14 days will incur a $1 per day, per item additional charge.

While we will accept parcels for you, we ask that you use this service sparingly as we don’t have unlimited space for storing items.  When a parcel arrives, we’ll notify you that you’ve got a parcel from ….. and provide you with your collection options.  The parcel will be stored in our secure parcel room.

What else do I need to know?

When setting up your redirection with Australia Post, it’s important to include your unique digital mailbox number.  Australia Post will send a confirmation letter that requires YOU to confirm and sign, we can see here if it’s been set up properly and rectify any errors before your redirection starts.

 

We don’t scan any obvious junk mail so it won’t count towards your maximum mail allowance.  You can choose not to have certain items scanned to you like “No bank statements” or choose to only have certain items only scanned to you like “ASIC and Government items only”

Excess letters will be scanned at a discounted price of $3 per letter.  This is billed monthly.

How much does a Digital Mailbox cost?

For personal use where a household redirects their mail the costs are; personal use allows maximum 5 scanned letters per week

1 month – $50
3 months – $120
6 months – $200
